HEY GUYS!!
Im in GUATEMALA!! 🇬🇹
Before we left, was had our final revival night and we did worship together with all the squads! I actually played the canjon, which was new for me, but so fun! We sang the missionary anthem and other various songs about going out to the mission field! The next day we said goodbye to all our friends from the other squads and on Sunday night we drove to the atlanta airport! We slept there that night and the next day we got up and headed to GUATE! We got here on Monday and hit the ground running! The next two days we had orientations about this beautiful country, we worshiped, and went over our ministries for the next few months!
For the boys team we are working with a ministry called One Way! We will be working in a town called San Lorenzo and we will be doing soccer camps with the locals and we will also be doing home visits for various kids and seeing how life is in their homes!
The people in Guatemala are very relationally based! We did this thing called ATL which means “Ask The Lord” and some people were evangelizing on the streets and were invited into peoples homes and offered food and drinks and they had great conversations!
For my ATL! I was partnered with my teammate Mitch. We both were walking downtown and ended up playing soccer in the streets with some kids. It was super cool to just love on them and play with them! We also walked around and prayed for a guy! It was so cool to listen to the spirit and his guidance!
For ministry Friday we toured our town of San Lorenzo where we will be serving! We visited a house and we had a fiesta for dias de los niños! There were 250 kids that came and they were fed by our ministry hosts and played games and worshipped! It was so beautiful and I’m so excited to get to know them more and love them more!
We walked around Antigua for adventure day and saw some of this beautiful country that we will call home for the next 2 months!!
God is good!
Pray for my team as we have our first week of official ministry starting tomorrow! And pray for safety and guidance over my squad!
Please text me or call me via WhatsApp anytime! I’ll respond when I can!
Thank you!
