I have loved my time here in Guatemala, but all good things have to end! I am currently in the Miami Airport about to get on a 14 hour flight to Qatar, and then we have a 9 hour flight to South Africa and then a 12 hour bus ride to Lesotho!!
Leaving Guatemala is so hard, but the Lord taught me so much while I was here and he gave me so many friends and family to go back to in Guatemala. I will miss the One Way guys so much, but they will be friends for the rest of my life.
Saying goodbye to all the community in San Lorenzo was so hard, but it was also cool to see how much of an impact they made on me and we were able to make on them!
This past week we had debrief and our coaches from Carolina, our mentor from Georgia, and our new MANtor from Texas came to visit us! They lead us in a week of remembrance of all the Lord did while we were in Guatemala! They also checked in on how our team has been doing and they prepared us to go to Africa! We also got to go to the most beautiful lake in Guatemala and jump off a 40 foot cliff which was so fun!
Now we are headed to Lesotho and Eswatini for the next few months, where I will have limited communication til around March! With that being said, please still free to text me and I will just try and respond when I get service!
I will have limited wifi over the next few travel days so feel free to reach out! Please pray for my squad and team over these next few months!
Thanks!!! Talk to you later!
Like the great shakira once said, ” Waka Waka, its time for Africa”
That’s awesome. I will be flying through Johannesburg in a few months. Remember, anytime something doesn’t make sense in Africa, just say “T-I-A” for “This Is Africa.”
Have an amazing few days of travel! We’re so glad to got see God work and join in the work in Guatemala! Now on to Africa!
Jackson, it is 4:50 pm Tuesday here in AZ. Thanks for all the info in this blog, including that you have had a debrief
time in Guatemala; vital to your success in Lesotho! I like Dr Sawyer’s remark!. Your Dad and a team of HS youth
and I met on Saturday ; they are cool youth and your Dad (and Mom who wasnt there) are missing you! We all, including the Ambassador Class are praying for you, since Sunday about your move to Lesotho today .
